Below is a portrait of myself before and after a (sustainable) change.
The portrait can be taken both literally and laterally.
Literally, in the before portrait, I am thoughtful, pensive – I care about rain and sustainability, but only in a vague way. After sustainable change, rather than standing in the rain with my umbrella, I stand with a bucket, collecting the drops from the sky. I understand more deeply what it all means, and that I should be taking action.
Laterally speaking, the umbrella acts as a shield. I am not fully open to new knowledge (about sustainability) – choosing, or unwittingly allow it to bounce off me. The bucket does not just represent the collection of rain, but also the collection of knowledge and a more open mind.
